Cámara de inspección remota.
    Dentro de lo que se pueden considerar como herramientas convencionales , la cámara "laparoscópica" tiene poco de ello .
    Las facilidades que brinda el poder observar piezas en lugares  ocultos o de difícil acceso,  hace  esta herramienta imprescindible en las ocasiones  en que desensamblar la máquina resulta imposible.
    Los casos en que se han soldado piezas después de los montajes o se han ensamblado mediante variaciones de temperatura o sencillamente se han recubierto de otros materiales , impiden en primera instancia un acceso sin rupturas , que en estado de diagnostico pueden considerarse inviables.
    En nuestro caso , cámara dotada de un brazo articulado de 70 centímetros de longitud,  10 mm de diámetro , iluminación incorporada  e  imágenes en color en una  pantalla lcd de  3"  , permite con relativa facilidad la visión interna por ejemplo  del cigueñal de un motor de combustión interna , a través del orificio de vaciado del aceite del cárter.
   Aplicaciones de diagnóstico y de vigilancia , parecen los empleos naturales de este tipo de ayudas .
   Pero acciones como la observación del comportamiento de las herramientas  en el mecanizado, el de las flexiones bajo presión , el de los refrigerantes o el de los diversos materiales  en condiciones extremas , pueden entregarnos  información adicional difícilmente obtenible de otra manera .
